Her interior is fitted out using Qld Red Cedar timber She was stripped bare in Thailand 2005 and painted using Allgrip paint. A new engine was installed in South Africa in 2010, a Vetus 53hp Diesel. History Built & owned by Terry Crisp in Brisbane Qld, launched in 1991, sailed around the Pacific for around 8 years. Sold to a professor in Brisbane who only owned her for a couple of years before illness and was forced to sell. The boat never left Moreton Bay at that time. The current owners purchased Shambala in 2001 and have sailed her around the world on a voyage that spanned 14 years. Numerous trips to Moreton Island and the Coral Sea since returning to Australia in 2017. |
