New Boats
Hallberg-Rassy 38
Think Hallberg-Rassy, think Swedish quality and you get the picture. This rarely available yacht has just been listed and is moored at Hope Island. The centre cockpit layout is brilliant for blue water cruising and allows comfortable separation of Owners and guests. She was built in 1986 and constantly upgraded throughout Her life. She was repowered in 2010 with a Beta 45 HP engine and currently has 3384 hours on Her. A new hot water system was fitted in October 2023. She has good refrigeration and a two burner stove and oven in the galley. Sail inventory includes 2 X Mains, (one new 2018) Genoa, (Furling) 2 X jibs and Two Spinnakers. She has AIS/GPS/depth speed radar VHF and a full list of safety gear. The Zodiac Open Sea four person liferaft was new win 2021. Tender is a Swift with Yamaha 4 stroke 4 hp outboard. This yacht is ideal for a couple to begin the crusing dream with a quality yacht at an affordable price. Inspection by appointment.

Remarks: |
This is one of the last Catana 58 catamarans ever built, and she was, more or less, a custom project and meant to be the rocket ship version of this all time classic world voyaging catamaran. Her owner made use of carbon fiber in every area of the build to bring down her weight. Careful decisions were made at every turn on her build to make her the fastest Catana 58 ever built. And she is that.
Go over her specifications, examine her interior, her inventory, and what you have here is a near-new boat, built to the highest possible standards, for an amazing price. A yacht such as this could not be duplicated today for anything less than US$2,300,000. She has every possible piece of high-end equipment you can add to a performance cruising cat.
She is one of my personal “best values” catamarans for someone wanting a near new boat of this size that has the get up and go to sail anywhere in the world in speed and comfort.
