Mediterranean Yachting

Cruise the Mediterranean on your new boat and back to your home port in Australia or New Zealand.

You are on an Australian registered vessel under temporary import into the EU where you have up to 18 months to cruise without having to pay VAT.

Sequence of Events

  1. Your order goes to builder with list of factory options you have selected.
  2. You research Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising etc with assistance from European Yachting.
  3. List of cruising extras put together and ordered VAT (value added tax) exempt with assistance from European Yachting.
  4. Delivery date is advised from factory and you can meet your new yacht in Antibes, France as it arrives for commissioning; Or arrange to fly in when we have completed the launch and test sail.
  5. Standard commissioning is generally complete in 7-10 days and then any extra cruising equipment can be mounted or loaded onboard.
  6. All cruising and temporary importation paperwork including Australian Registration is finalised and now you are ready to start your cruise!
  7. Experienced staff from European Yachting are available for advice during your cruise as and when required.
  8. Our Greek Island boat minders, (English residents in Levkas) will take care of your boat while you are back in Australia for the off season.
  9. Any warranty work required during your cruise is arranged by European Yachting at the port of the nearest Agent.
